Rourkela Orissa, October 19: A Maoist hailing from neighbouring Jharkhand was gunned down in an encounter with security personnel in Orissa’s Sundargarh district today, police said.
The slain Maoist, identified as Junul Barla (30), was wanted in several cases in Orissa and Jharkhand, they said.
The encounter took place between security personnel and ultras at Renjeda in K Balang police station.
