Maoist held in AP, remanded in custody till Mar 25

Karimnagar, March 8: A local court here Monday remanded Dudekula Rayabose(45), member of a local Maoist group arrested last night, in judicial custody till March 25.

Rayabose was working for a local Maoist group for the last 20 years and over half a dozen criminal cases including setting on fire the vehicle of former MLA Chinna Mallaiah were pending against him, police said.

Rayabose who hails from Keshavapur village in Husnabad mandal of Andhra Pradesh was also active in neighbouring states of Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra and Karnataka, police added.

He was arrested by Hyderabad police in Guntur district yesterday. Judicial First Class Magistrate here remanded him in judicial custody till March, 25. He was later shifted to the Central Prison at Warangal. His family members who met him at the Court said that he was not keeping good health.
