Many flock to Sarvodaya eye camp

Hyderabad, September 14: Embarking on a mission of providing healthy eyesight for all, the Sarvodaya Trust in association with Kishore Chand Eye Hospital and LV Prasad Eye Institute organised a free one-day eye check-up and treatment camp.

The camp was conducted at the Kasturba Nature Cure Hospital in Shivarampally. Under this programme, patients who need surgeries or cataract operations were referred to the Kishore Chand Eye Hospital in Begum Bazar for further treatment.

Patients holding white ration cards were given free medicines and will also be eligible for free surgeries. The remaining patients were given 50 per cent concession on the surgeries. Established in 1949, the Sarvodaya Charitable Trust is a non-profit group and runs the 60-bed Kasturba Nature Cure Hospital in Shivarampally.
Vinay Saboo, managing trustee of Sarvodaya Charitable Trust expressed happiness over the poor and needy population utilising the services of the camp.
