MANUU VC dares to take probe by any agency

University Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mohammed Miyan termed the all allegations against him by former CPI minister Aziz Pasha as baseless and said that he is ready for all probe by any agency.

He said, “I welcome any enquiry by any competent authority to check out on the recruitment process and the financial functioning of the university”. The recruitments were undertaken by appointing eminent experts in relevant fields of study who constituted the selection committees for the both teaching and non-teaching staff. Moreover, every selection committee for teaching staff had a visitor (a nominee of President of India).

Therefore, the allegation of any financial misconduct in executing the project is baseless, he said. Further, the VC in a press release said that Aziz Pasha was presented with correct information by the university in the past. But instead of believing the official stand of the university, he has preferred to rely on wrong information provided to him by certain individuals and groups with vested interests, whose sole objective seems to damage an institution meant for the betterment of the Urdu speaking population.

He said that Pasha’s statement tantamounts to defaming the university which does not go with his stature in public life. “I am willing to place before eminent persons who have complaints against the university the facts and explain to them the work that has been going on fast track in the university. However, my request to them is to refrain from damaging the good name the university has made in a short span of time in the country and abroad,” he said.
