MANUU Study Centre at Kargil

Hyderabad, May 26: For the first time in the history of Kargil a Vice Chancellor of a University has visited this place. The Vice Chancellor of Moulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) Professor Mohammad Miyan today inaugurated the Distance Study Center of the University at Degree College Kargil in the presence of Chief Executive Councilor Kargil Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan.

On this occasion the Vice Chancellor interacted with the students and said that MANUU is a Central University and the main motive of establishing study centers in J&K State is that the official language of the State is Urdu and hence there is lot of potential for the Urdu Knowing People. He said that he is very delighted to be in Kargil and has announced for special provisions for the students of Kargil who want to pursue regular courses of Master Degree from the University. Prof Mia further added that in the newly inaugurated study center of Kargil in the initial stage there will be course in three subjects later on they will add three more subjects so that every student can get the benefit of the study center.

He also said that the university is planning to open a women polytechnic college in Srinagar with a teacher training center for encouraging the girl students.

On this occasion the Chief Executive Councilor LAHDC Kargil, Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan also interacted with the students and thanked the Vice Chancellor for visiting Kargil by traveling such a long distance via Road from Srinagar. He stressed the need of reviving Urdu Language and said that MANUU is playing an important role in the promotion of Urdu language.

On this occasion Regional Co-ordinator MANUU, Dr. Salma Ahmed Farooqi, Project Director, Kacho Mohd Shah, Principal Degree College Kargil Abdul Rasheed Gania, Assistant Regional Director MANUU for Srinagar Dr. Aijaz Ashraf, Commanding Officer Army Hospital Kargil students of Degree College Kargil and MANUU were present.
