IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao today said manufacturing sector was witnessing a significant growth in the State.
Addressing a conference on “Leadership Series of Manufacturing Excellence” organized by CII at ITC Kakatiya here on Wednesday, KTR said manufacturing productivity holds key for State’s growth and economic development. He said the CII was working in tandem with the government for the speedy growth of the manufacturing sector. KTR maintained that the government was for the promotion of industries and companies. The State government is for promotion and development of industries and businesses to increase manifold the manufacturing productivity and provide employment opportunities, he said.
During previous Congress regime, there were protests for power supply and now it is not the case, he said. The Telangana Government has successfully addressed the power issue in the State in just eight months of taking over and supplying 24 hour supply, he said. Telangana is accounted for No. 1 position in productivity sector in India and efforts are on to promote the industries and businesses of national and international level in a big way.
Listing some of the flagship programs and their implementation, KTR said they could attract more investments in various sectors through TSiPass and put in place the hassle-free industrial policy. The policy first of its kind in India, will offer all permissions in two weeks besides fetching investments and providing employment in the State, the minister claimed. Now Mission Bhagiratha was being implemented to provide safe waters to every household in the rural areas, KTR said. (NSS)
