Mumbai, May 04: Chandigarh pro Gurbaaz Mann shot a seven-under 63 to establish a three-stroke lead over his rivals on day one of the PGTI Players Championship at the Bombay Presidency Golf here today.
Mann is closely followed by Gaganjeet Bhullar, Anirban Lahiri, Abhishek Jha and Mohd Siddikur Rahman at the second spot with identical scores of four-under 66.
Mann made an ideal start to the week as he hit it close on the front nine to earn birdies on the first, fourth, fifth and seventh.
He then converted a 10-feet birdie putt on the 10th to go up five-under. The 27-year-old made his longest putt of the day, a 15-footer on the 12th, to pocket his sixth birdie.
Mann ended the day at seven-under after he sank another birdie on the 16th.
