Lucknow, October 12: Launching a scathing attack on Manmohan Singh, Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav today described him as the weakest Prime Minister the country had ever produced.
“He (Manmohan Singh) is the weakest Prime Minister the country has ever seen,” Yadav told party workers at a function here on the 42nd death anniversary of socialist leader Ram Manohar Lohia.
Prices of essential commodities had sky-rocketed, but the UPA government led by Manmohan Singh had failed to provide relief to the comman man, he said.
The SP leader also took potshots at the UPA government on the pumping of fake currency into the country which, he said, was weakening India’s economy.
The former Defence Minister said he had definite information that Pakistan, China and Nepal were being used as conduits for pumping fake notes into the country, but alleged the Manmohan Singh government was downplaying the issue.
