Minister for Rural Development and NREGS D Manikya Varaprasad on Wednesday described Y S Rajasekhara Reddy as the `Best Chief Minister’ the State has ever had.
Talking to media persons, Manikya Varaprasad said that YSR was one among the best Chief Ministers the State had so far in the various governments. He said that the state has witnessed all-round development during the stint of YSR and his cabinet handled all problems collectively.
Varaprasad informed Pradesh Congress Committee chief Botsa Satyanarayana would announce the list of candidates for all constituencies after getting approval from the Congress High Command. He expressed confidence that the Congress candidates would win with a huge majority in the ensuing by-elections.
He also informed that that Rajya Sabha member K Chiranjeevi would launch his by-election campaign for 18 Assembly segments in the State from Ongole. He said that he would stay in Ongole till the completion of election process and work for victory of the Congress candidates. (INN)
