The lanes and roads of the old city, famous for its battered roads, are given a facelift. Hence the old drainages are being repaired but the tragedy is, due to lack of coordination between Roads and Buildings Department and Water and Sewerage Board, there is a sharp difference between the level of roads and manhole level, as a results several accidents occur daily in the areas. The work done in the name of development is becoming a nuisance for the public.
You can imagine the inconvenience of a commuter or a vehicle rider, by looking at the 6 to 10 inch deep manholes, on the newly laid roads of Doodh Bowli area of old city.
Not only that the accidents are occurring on the road but it is also leading to heavy traffic jam.
