“I am a women, I am Maneka Gandhi . I myself is scared to go to police station my heart beats so fast, being scared of the very thought. Then came a thought of why not pushing more women police into the society. It is encouraging. More and more women are getting into police force, she said. Idea, Maneka Gandhi said is to sensitize men police by placing women police along with them. Prime Minister of India has entrusted me to get ahead with Beti Bachao Beti padavo to get the sex ratio adjusted. ‘Chances of women being Born is greater than a man according to genetics, she said. With this Beti Bachao Beti Padavo program we have set up a new trend by asking people to rename their business/shops for example from ‘Gupta and sons to Gupta and daughters’.
