Job Description

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Participate in implementations of Model N systems as a member of the Professional Services Team. Along with individual delivery, drive the delivery of his or team members. Introduce, monitor and improve processes that will help deliver high quality outcome.
Design, develop and test customizations and work closely with PM, BAs, and Customers teams.
Assist customers with technical tasks related to implementations (hardware/software selection and sizing), deployment, and interface strategy.
Participate with team in design/code reviews to ensure consistency in architecture and design/code practice.
Create custom applications that support and enhance the High Tech (HT) suite of Model N solutions/application suite. The solutions are web based application built primarily on Java & Oracle.
Drive data loading efforts. Work with customer to explain format of data, help customer with mapping, analyze content, perform data loading, and report errors to customer.
Provide consultation and support when needed, to Professional Services colleagues.
Manage and motivate a team of up to 10. The profile of the team is mix of developers, BA, QA, & Tech Leads. Plan and execute the developmental plan for team.
Conduct annual appraisals for all team members. Do periodic reviews.
This role is more about hands-on technical delivery, along with people management. We are not looking at pure play people manager.

Requirements:

Work experience of 10+ years. About 5+ years of managing a team of around 10 people.
Hands-on experience on Java & Oracle(>10g). Experience with J2EE deployments, particularly on Tomcat and Weblogic.
Experience in all aspects of software development life cycle; emphasis on applying formal methodologies and tools.
Ability to effectively change design and development approaches as the business requirements dictate
Ability to work independently or in a team environment and effectively meet project deliverables on time
Communication and Presentation skills, Email Etiquette, Time management
Documentation Skills (will cover all of MS office)
Working with and adapting to diversity (e.g. Cultural Diversity)
