Manchester United have signed Memphis Depay on a four-year contract for a stunning 31 million pounds, the club have confirmed.
Depay, who completed a move from PSV Eindhoven, said that this was a dream come true and a new chapter in his life.
The winger played an instrumental role in helping PSV secure their first Dutch title since 2008. The Netherlands international scored 22 goals and was the top scorer of the 2014-15 season in the Eredivisie.
Describing Depay as young versatile player, former Netherlands manager Louie van Gaal, who now coaches Manchester United, said that the winger has the ability to play in a number of different positions, the BBC reported.
Van Gaal said that it would take time for Depay to get used to the rhythm of the Premier League but insisted that he has the potential to become a great footballer for his new club. (ANI)
