Shaikh Azmath who was suffering from liver disease underwent liver transplant on February 28, at Global Hospital , Lakdi ka pul, Hyderabad. The surgery was successful and he was discharged from the hospital on Friday. On the appeal made by Siasat daily and State Organising Secretary Bodhan, Mr. M Amarnath Babu many philanthropists extended financial help for the surgery.
It is worth mentioning here that while the philanthropist donated Rs. 28 lakh for the surgery Shaikh Azmath’s brother Shaikh Asghar donated a part of his liver. Asghar met editor Siasat Mr. Zahed Ali Khan on behalf of his brother Azmath and thanked Mr. Zahed Ali Khan and Mr. M Amarnath Babu.
