Man U owners to give Moyes 200 mln-pound `war-chest` to rebuild `struggling` team

Manchester United will reportedly back manager David Moyes with a mammoth 200 million pounds to rebuild his struggling team.

The Old Trafford side is currently languishing in 7th spot on the English Premier League log, having already lost six games and were also dumped out of the FA Cup on Sunday, losing 2-1 to Swansea City at home for their fourth home defeat in six matches.

According to Sport24, the absence of stars Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie highlights the lack of world-class talent in the squad Moyes inherited from Sir Alex Ferguson, which means new signings are needed to strengthen the team, and the Glazer family, who owns the club, will reportedly give Moyes enough money to buy the right players over the next 18 months.

The report mentioned that Moyes” list of targets includes two central midfielders, a striker, a left back and a centre back although, he is unwilling to compromise on quality and is likely to wait until the summer to get players he wants. (ANI)
