New Delhi: A man was beaten by a mob after his van hit two motorcycle-borne youths in north west Delhi’s Adarsh Nagar area, with the incident captured on camera.
The incident took place at Azad Cinema Complex in Adarsh Nagar area on July 12.
Amit’s van had hit the motorcycle which Vikrant and Anis were riding following which an argument broke out between them and led to a scuffle, a police officer said, adding, following which a mob thrashed Amit.
The two youth were put under preventive detention and the van driver was sent for medical examination but he refused to lodge any complaint in the matter, he said.
“It was not a road rage incident and we intervened promptly and sent Amit for MLC examination but he refused to lodge complaint. Still we put Vikrant and Anis under preventive detention as they were aggressive. They were released next day by a local court,” the officer said.
