Hyderabad, February 26: Suspecting her fidelity, a man stabbed his wife to death and then proceeded to chop her into eight parts at Narsingi late yesterday night.
The victim, B Ramanamma (35), was a native of Govindapally in Kurnool district.
Though she was married to a man there, she developed a relationship with another married man, Alluraiah (43), of the same village.
The duo came together to the city three years agao and got married here at a temple.
Alluraiah was working as a watchman in an apartment at Puppalguda while Ramanamma used to work as a maid servant in the apartment.
They used to stay in the apartment cellar.
“Alluraiah began was suspecting his wife’s character and both of them used to quarrel over this since the past few months. Three days ago, the watchman noticed a man, Vinod, visiting his house in his absence and picked up a quarrel with Ramanamma,” police said. Yesterday night also the duo quarrelled over this and in a fit of rage, Alluraiah stabbed Ramanamma with a knife, inflicting multiple wounds and killing her instantly.
“Later, he chopped the woman’s hands, legs and even the head. The body was chopped into eight parts,” Narsingi inspector M Narayana said. Police recovered a knife and an axe which was used in the crime.
Alluraiah fled from the spot after killing the woman and the murder came to light today morning. Narsingi police registered a case under Section 302 (murder) against Alluraiah and took him into custody.
