Rajahmundry, September 18: A love-sick monster seriously wounded a senior Intermediate student and killed her parents at Lalithanagar here tonight in a pre-meditated attack. The man, identified as Mattadi Rajesh (22), is a milk vendor and had been stalking the victim, N Anusha (17), a student of SKR Women’s College, for the past six months.
Police say Rajesh developed a grudge against Anusha after she rejected his nasty proposals.
Anusha took the matter to her father Srinivas, an auto-driver, who lodged a complaint with the police on September 4.
According to police, tonight, around 9 p.m., Rajesh barged into their house and went after the girl , brandishing a knife.
Anusha’s parents, Srinivas and Satyavathi, tried to push him out.
In the ensuing scuffle, Rajesh stabbed Satyavathi in her stomach and slit her throat.
He inflicted fatal injuries on Srinivas’ neck and legs. While Satyavathi died on the spot, Srinivas succumbed to injuries at the government hospital a little later.
After overpowering both, Rajesh slashed Anusha’s neck. In the life and death struggle, she also sustained injuries on her legs. The entire nightmare lasted only a few minutes before neighbours could rush to the family’s rescue. Fortunately, they did arrive before Rajesh could escape.
They thrashed him black and blue and handed him over to the police.
