MAHARASHTRA: A 25-year-old man named Sumit Shivajirao Waghmare was stabbed to death in a broad daylight outside a college in Beed city of Maharashtra on Wednesday evening.
According to the police, he was a third-year student of Aditya Engineering College in Beed and had married a classmate two months ago against the wishes of her family.
After Sumit along with his wife came out of the college after appearing for an exam, he was stabbed to death following which the killers ran away.
Sumit was brought to the Beed Civil Hospital where he declared dead, police said. According to the initial investigation of the police, it is suspected that it is a case of honour killing.
