A 28-year-old House wife was set ablaze allegedly by her husband after she failed to bring more dowry from her parents.
According to Rajendranagar police, the deceased Haseena Begum (28) an Housewife was allegedly set ablaze by her husband Mohammed Feroz on June 13 at their residence in Suleman Nagar of Rajendranagar, Immediately she was rushed to the Osmania General Hospital for treatment she died on Monday late night hours while undergoing treatment.
Enquiries by the police revealed that Haseena was married with Feroz about eight years back. However, after few years after the marriage Feroz and In laws started harassing Haseena for more dowry mentally and physically.
He allegedly beat up Haseena, On June 13, Feroz had an argument with his wife on dowry issue and out of rage, he had set set ablaze allegedly by poured kerosene due to which she received multiple burn injuries, immediately rushed to OGH for treatment where she died on Monday late night hours while undergoing treatment.
Deceased body shifted to OGH Mortuary for postmortem, after autopsy deceased body handed over to her relatives.
The Rajendranagar police have registered a case of murder and dowry-harassment under Sections 302, 498 A, and began investigation. Inspector Ch Kushalkar said. (INN)
