Madurai, August 26: Three persons including a hospital assistant were arrested for allegedly murdering a teenaged girl at the behest of her father who was fed up of her love affairs, police said here. Rangaswamy, running a tractor workshop here, was unhappy with his daugther”s love affairs with some boys.
He felt ashamed when various boys claimed having an affair with his daughter, they said. Irked by this, he decided to murder her and took the help of his workshop workers Murthy, Velmurugan and hospital assistant Balasubramanian to execute his plan.
The three had gone to Rangaswamy”s house last afternoon when the girl Marichelvi was alone. Balasubramanian injected the poison while the other two held her.
They also poured poison into her mouth and nose to make it appear as a case of suicide, police said. The girl”s mother saw her daughter struggling for life and rushed her to the hospital, where the teen narrated the incident to her mother before succumbing.
The accused father is absconding and police is on his lookout.
