Hyderabad, January 22: In a freak incident, a person parked his car for more than an hour over an elderly person sleeping near Old Osmania mortuary today. However, the driver was let off by the police as the person turned out to be a dead man.
The incident took place near Osmania General Hospital this morning. According to police, the body of an unidentified person, aged around 70 years, was lying abandoned near the old mortuary of the OGH, Afzalgunj.
A ragged blanket was placed on the body and none were aware that the person was dead.
A person from Ramanthapur, Narasimha, came to the OGH to admit his wife suffering with an ailment. “He reportedly took a reverse turn and parked his vehicle right on the dead person’s left shoulder and legs and left the place,” police said. After a few minutes, locals noticed that the car was parked on the person and informed police.
By the time Narasimha returned from the hospital, police removed the car and came to know that the person died a day back.
