HYDERABAD: On Wednesday, a 30-year-old businessman and his lover were arrested by Rachakonda cyber crime police for uploading obscene pictures of his wife on social media.
The main accused, who is a businessman and stays at Vanasthalipuram, met accused Monica, a manager at a private company and resident of Vanasthalipuram, at an event in Doctor’s building in Banjara Hills and became friends. Soon after, they got into a relationship.
In May, the accused’s wife filed a dowry harassment case against him in Vanasthalipuram police station. Boring a grudge against her, the accused along with his lover Monica planned to defame the victim and get divorced from her.
The main accused took several sexually explicit and objectionable photos with the victim and stored them in his mobile phone.
“As per their plan, Monica uploaded those indecent and obscene photos with a derogatory caption on her WhatsApp status to defame the woman,” read the press release issued by the cyber crime police. The accused persons also sent abusive WhatsApp text messages to the victim.
After receiving such abusive messages, the victim approached the police and registered a case against her husband and his lover. On Wednesday, police traced the accused persons in Madhapur and arrested them and also seized their mobile phones.
