A 38-year-old man, reportedly facing family problems, killed his three-year-old son and then committed suicide by hanging himself, police said Wednesday.
Devender Singh, a resident of Badshahpur, committed suicide after killing his son Chirag.
Police said Singh left his house with Chirag Feb 14 after a tiff with his wife over some issue.
The family registered a missing report of the father-son duo at Badshahpur police station Feb 15.
“Singh made a phone call to one of his family members Feb 24 saying that he will be back by evening or will never return,” a senior police officer told IANS.
He got married nearly five years back and his wife gave birth to a girl around one-and-a-half months ago.
The bodies were found in a deserted room in a field belonging to the family. A person noticed the bodies Wednesday and informed the police.
No suicide note was found.
The bodies were handed over to the family after postmortem examination.
