Man kills self after `losing’ job

Bangalore, August 31: A software engineer from Andhra Pradesh, who had lost his job over a year ago, committed suicide by jumping in front of a moving train on Saturday night. Railway police said he may have been depressed after losing his job.

His body was found on the tracks between Thanisandra and Nagawara. The deceased Nagaraj, 30, from Vizag, was working with a software company here, police said.

After losing his job, he had been undergoing treatment at Nimhans for depression. Police said Nagaraj was staying in DJ Halli while his parents were living at their native place in Andhra Pradesh.

The body has been kept at Bowring Hospital. Police said relatives of the deceased will reach the city on Monday morning.
