Muzaffarnagar: A 60-year-old man was today killed while his wife, daughter and son were seriously injured allegedly by his son-in-law over some family dispute in Ramlila Tilak locality here, police said.
The accused and his friend went to his in-laws house to resolve a dispute with his wife, they said, adding but an argument broke out between him and his in-laws.
As the argument turned heated, the man attacked his father-in-law Jaipal with a sharp-edged weapon killing him on the spot and injuring his wife, mother-in-law and brother-in-law who were rushed to a hospital, police said.
A case was registered against the accused and his friend, who are absconding, police said, adding an investigation is underway in the matter.
