UP: Man kills brother over sister’s wedding costs

Bulandshahr: An argument between two brothers over their share of expenses for their sister’s marriage ended in a murder.

Raj Kishan, 35, and Pankaj, 18, were today discussing — in the presence of their relatives, at their home in Buranpur Kalan village here — about how much they both would pitch in to cover the cost of marriage.

“During the discussion, some differences arose between the two and Pankaj fired at Kishan, instantly killing him,” circle officer of Debai police station, Jitendra Singh said.

Pankaj fled the scene after shooting his brother, police said.

“An FIR has been lodged against Pankaj on the basis of a complaint filed by their brother-in-law, Jitendra,” Singh said.

“We have started the investigation,” he said.
