Man killed by wife, sisters-in-law

A 35-year-old man was murdered allegedly by his wife and sisters-in-law in the limits of Chatrinaka police.

According to Chatrinaka Inspector Lakshmi Narayana, the deceased, Nagaraju, was murdered on Thursday night although the incident came to light only on Friday afternoon. Enquiries by the police revealed that Nagaraju consumed liquor along with his wife Maheshwari and her sisters Vijaya Lakshmi and Kalpana. They reportedly had an argument while consuming liquor and he was allegedly hit on the head with a blunt object. He died on the spot.

On Friday afternoon, Maheshwari and her sisters tried to shift the body and hired an auto-rickshaw. On information, police reached the spot and shifted the body to the Osmania General Hospital mortuary for post-mortem. A case of murder has been registered and Maheshwari has been taken into custody.
