A 28-year-old man, allegedly killed his wife after she refused to have sexual intercourse with him. Subramanya Kumar, supervisor in a quarry, throttled his wife and strung up her body in his flat at Kolan Ramchandra Reddy Nagar, Bachupally, Dundigal police said.
The murder happened on December 24 evening,“Kumar came home in the evening and started a fight with her about their sexual life. P. Pavani, 22, had a quarrel with her husband that evening.
He the slapped her due to which she fell unconscious, after which he took her sari and hanged her from the ceiling. He broke the windows and door to make it look like a robbery and hid her gold ornaments to create a robbery scene, said Dundigal police Inspector, Ch Balakrihsna.
According to medical examination report of the victim, no signs of external injuries was shown on her body . What aroused the police’s suspicions, he said, was that the gold ornaments were found hidden in the house.
Pavani and Subramanya Kumar and Pavani were married in Pala Koderu in West Godavari district 10 months ago. They came to Hyderabad a few months ago.
Subramanya Kumar confessed that he had committed the murder and also confessed that he was frustrated with his married life as his wife was loathed to have children.
The police booked a case of suspicious death, but as the investigation progressed, this was changed to a murder charge. He was sent to judicial custody on Monday.
