Ghaziabad: A person was burnt alive in his car after the vehicle hit an electric pole in Shalimar Garden area here today, police said.
The car caught fire after live wire fell on it. Zaif Khan, a resident of Shalimar Garden Part II, was killed in the incident, ASP Anoop Kumar said.
He could not escape and was burnt in the car, he said, adding by the time locals called the fire tender, the vehicle was engulfed in fire.
The incident took place this morning when he was returning from a gym here, the officer said.
The body has been sent for postmortem, he said.
