Man killed by Maoists in Andhra Pradesh

Karimnagar (AP), September 22: Suspecting him to be a police informer, Maoists today killed a man at a village in this Andhra Pradesh district, police said.

Three Maoists went to the house of M Komaraiah (55) at Allipur village under Raikal police stations limits. They took Komaraiah and his wife to the outskirts and shot him dead, police said.

They left a note stating that they killed Komaraiah as he informed to police about the movement of a Maoist leader, Sathaiah in 1997.

Based on the information, police allegedly killed Sathaiah in an encounter.

Sathaiah was a brother of Beeemanna, who was also involved in Komaraiah’s killing.
