Saudi Arabia’s feared religious police arrested an Arab man involved in drawing tattoos on women’s bodies at their homes.
Members of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice identified the man after receiving a tip off that he visited women at their homes for hair cuts and tattooing.
A police undercover posting as a private driver of a woman phoned the man and told him his boss wanted him to go to her for tattooing.
“The driver took him to a house prepared by the Commission…when he went in and asked for advance payment, he was arrested,” Alyoum daily said in a report from the Western Red Sea port of Jeddah.
It said the man told police he had been in that career for nearly nine years and that he visit’s Saudi Arabia often for this purpose.
