New Delhi, February 25: A Delhi court today sentenced a man to life imprisonment for killing his elder brother over a financial dispute three years ago.
Additional Sessions Judge K S Mohi also awarded a fine of Rs 20,000, besides the life term to Nanku Yadav, after holding him guilty of murder under the IPC.
The court relied upon the statement of eye witness Ram Vilas Chaudhary to convict Yadav of the murder of his elder brother Biltu.
According to the prosecution, Nanku had inflicted 12 stab injuries on Biltu on August 12, 2007 following a spat between them on the distribution of money received through the business of letting out of cycle rickshaws.
Nanku harboured a grudge against his brother as he had lodged a police complaint against him 15 days prior to the incident over a money-related dispute.
