One person was today awarded life imprisonment by a local court here for raping a minor girl.
Additional District Judge S N Tripathi awarded life imprisonment to Veerpal for raping a 15-year-old girl on February 19, 2010 in Bisauli area here.
The court also awarded seven years’ imprisonment to one Khema Devi for helping Veerpal in the act besides imposing a fine of Rs 1,14,000 on Veerpal and Rs 28,000 on the woman.
