A person was sentenced to ten years of rigorous imprisonment by a local court today for raping an eight-year-old girl in March this year.
The sentence was handed out by Special District Judge, Una, Rattan Singh Thakur who also imposed a fine of Rs 30,000 on the convict.
In case of default in payment of cash penalty he would undergo imprison of another three months.
