A 38-year-old man died under suspicious circumstances after beaten up allegedly by the organizers of a Kallu compound in Shamshiguda of Kukatpally under the limits of KPHB Police station on Saturday.
According to KPHB police, the victim, Chandrasekhar, a labourer and resident of Indira Nagar, died under suspicious circumstances after returning from Kallu compound in Sai Charan Colony of Kukatpally. Police believe that he died of injuries which he suffered after being thrashed by the organizers for misbehaving with a woman inside the compound. “He misbehaved with a woman, while attracting the wrath people there. However, we are investigating the case,” KPHB Inspector V Sreekanth Goud said.
However, the relatives of Chandrasekhar alleged that the organizers beat him, for questioning the quality of toddy. A case was booked under section 174 (Suspicious Death) of IPC by police and body was sent to postmortem. (INN)
