A man died in an electrocution incident near at Rendal village in Hatkanangale tehsil of this district today. According to Hupari police, workers of Shivshakti Tarun Mandal had gone to village Rendal to bring a 18 feet Ganesh idol on the ocassion of Ganesh Chaturthi.
On way to Kolhapur, near Vankatesh Soot Girnithe, the idol got involved in electricity wires and fell down on Liyaz Gani Kadole (32), resident of Laxmipuri in Kolhapur, who was sitting near the idol.
Seriously injured Kadole died before any medical help could reach him. UNI
