Man creates fake FB account of woman, held

Central Crime Station sleuths nabbed one Khaled on the charges of opening a fake Facebook account in the name of his ex-colleague and harassing her by that. The accused, Mohammed Khaled (24) a former employee of Amrutha castle, is now working as a technician in a pest control company.

It is said that he had sent a request to his female colleague on Facebook but she did not add him to her friends list. On this bearing a grudge against her he opened a fake account in her name. Using her photographs on the fake profile, which were downloaded from her original FB account, he made others believe that it was her account. According to CCS officials he then posted vulgar messages about the victim in order to tarnish her image.

Based on the victim’s complaint Khaled was arrested and sent to remand under IT Act.
