New Delhi: A 45-year-old man allegedly committed suicide after killing his wife in outer Delhi’s Baba Haridass Nagar, the police said today.
It is suspected that the couple had a quarrel, following which Sanjay Sharma killed his wife Babli (42), they said.
The couple’s two children live with their grandmother separately.
The incident occurred on Tuesday. Sharma approached the personnel at a police station and informed that he had consumed poison after killing his wife, the police said.
He was rushed to a hospital and a police team was sent to his house, they said, adding he died during treatment.
Babli was found lying near the door. It is suspected that she was beaten up and strangulated by her husband. The post mortem report is awaited, the police said.
