Hyderabad, February 27: Uncontrollable anger drove a man to pour kerosene and set his wife on fire under Meerpet police station limits.
According to inspector T Ravinder, K Aruna (38) wife of Babu, a resident of Lenin Nagar, Meerpet succumbed to her burns late on Friday night. She had on Wednesday been set on fire by her husband after her brother had lodged a complaint against him.
The complaint stated that Babu was harassing his wife for dowry and also suspecting her fidelity.
Following the attack, Aruna had been rushed to Osmania Hospital for treatment. She died late on Friday evening.
Police registered a case under section 498A and 302 IPC case is under investigation.
