Man booked for sending obscene video to woman

New Delhi: A 40-year-old man has been booked for allegedly sending an obscene video clip to the wife of a retired Army officer in south Delhi’s Vasant Kunj area.

The accused, A K Mehta, was a former chairman of federation of RWAs of Vasant Kunj, while the woman is a member of RWA in her colony in the area, a senior police officer said.

The woman used to meet Mehta for discussions on RWA-related issues since he was the chairman of the federation.

In her complaint, she alleged that she received an obscene video clip that was four-and-a-half minutes long on October 3 from Mehta, police said.

She approached Vasant Kunj (North) police station yesterday for filing a complaint against Mehta.

“A case under section 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of women) of the Indian Penal Code and relevant sections of the Information Technology Act has been registered against the accused. Further investigation is underway,” said the officer.
