New Delhi, January 26: A 45-year-old deaf and dumb person was allegedly beaten to death by his neighbour following a quarrel involving their sons.
Police, however, are awaiting the post morterm report as they suspected that the victim might have died due to cardiac arrest since he had a history of chest pain.
The victim, Mohammad Kasim, who works as book binder, was involved in a fight with his neighbour Allaudin at Welcome here, the police said.
The incident happened after Kasim’s son informed him that he was hit by Allaudin’s child with a cricket ball.
The victim, who intervened, had an argument with Allaudin which turned into a bitter fight. Allaudin then allegedly hit Kasim with a rod resulting in grievous injuries, they said.
He was rushed to GTB hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead.
