A 43-year-old man was beaten to death allegedly by the family members of a woman whom he had allegedly harassed, police said here today.
Lakhan Singh, who was recently released from jail after serving life sentence in a murder case, had allegedly entered the house of his neighbour yesterday and harassed a woman, Additional Superintendent of Police Kamlesh Dixit said.
When her family members came to know about the incident, they allegedly beat up Lakhan with sticks and rods injuring him seriously, the ASP said, adding he died later.
Cross FIRs have been lodged from both sides and investigation is on, he said.
