A man was arrested on Thursday for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl in Machilipatnam town of Krishna district.
Inguduru police circle inspector K Swamy said that three days back, the victim was raped by her neighbour M Mahesh on the pretext of marriage in the Godugupet area of the town.
Later, her parents requested him to marry the girl, but he refused, after which they lodged a complaint yesterday, Swamy said.
