Kolkata: A city-based architect engineer was today arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau for allegedly procuring and selling drugs.

As part of its probe into a case in which two men were arrested from the city for alleged involvement in a drug racket, the NCB, Kolkata unit today held Rhythm Das Ray, the bureau’s zonal director (East) Dilip Srivastava told PTI.

NCB sleuths had arrested Niloy Ghosh and Jerome Watson in last December and recovered from them 148 blots of Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD) and 26.6 gram of MDMA/Ecstacy.

Das has admitted of knowing Ghosh, who used to place orders of MDMA by depositing money in his account through cash deposit machines inside ATM kiosks, Srivastava said.

“Rhythm used to procure the drugs from some other associates of Bangalore. Niloy had purchased the consignments through Rhythm since last six months before being arrested,” he said.
