A youth was today arrested on charges of eve-teasing a constable’s wife in Vijaynagar area in the district, police said.
A constable had filed a complaint against one Rahul for eve-teasing his wife, following which he was arrested, Inspector Sajesh Dwivedi said.
In another incident, police today registered a case of abduction and rape against a youth on the directions of a local court here.
The victim, resident of Sahibabad area in the district, was allegedly abducted and raped by her neighbour but the police refused to file a complaint.
It was only after she got the court’s orders, the police filed a complaint against the accused. Investigations are on, police said.
