New Delhi, November 08: A man was today arrested by Delhi police in connection with cheating people through property deals.
Jodge Chawla, 48, a resident of Rajinder Nagar in Central Delhi, was booked under various provisions of the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crimes Act and the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, police said.
He used to project himself as owner of certain properties and sell them by preparing forged documents, they said.
Chawla was also involved in a murder case in which a woman had allegedly killed her father for a certain property dispute in Greater Kailsah area here last year.
The accused admitted that he had prepared the forged documents for selling the disputed property which ultimately led to the murder of the victim, police said.
He had also fraudulently divorced his wife and was staying with his mistress who used to help in the forgery.
