Mamata Talked of Support to Jaya as PM

“Amma”, the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha called up “Didi” her West Bengal counterpart Mamata Banerjee on Friday and spoke to her for almost 10 minutes.

However, Mamata did not say anything on the subject of the telephonic conversation she had with Jayalalithaa, sources close to her indicated that the two chief ministers had talked about possible tie up between their political parties after the LS elections.

It is interesting to know that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister had called up Mamata Banerjee after her party AIADMK snapped its alliance with the Left parties on Thursday. Mamata too, indicated on Thursday that she was okay for her in supporting Jayalalitha to become the Prime Minister.

On Thursday, Mamata also told that she had worked with Jayalalitha and Mayawati during Atal Behari Vajpayee’s tenure as the Prime Minister and had no problem to be there for the AIADMK chief to become the prime minister.
