Kolkata, April 11: Accusing the Left Front government for the current power crisis in the state, Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee tonight said it lacked planning to prevent load shedding or major power disruption.
“In the last 33 years of Left Front rule, hardly it made any positive investment in power sector to improve the situation,” Banerjee, also the Railway Minister, alleged in an interview to a local TV channel.
“Now the government is blaming ‘poor supply of coal’ and ‘lack of rainfall’. It’s their failure which people will understand well,” she added.
