Kolkata, December 13: Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee today called on Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee and held a one-to-one meeting on issues concerning the Congress and Trinamool Congress in the state.
The meeting lasted for about half-an-hour at the residence of the Mukherjee, who is also the WBPCC President.
Party leader and Union Minister of State for Shipping Mukul Roy and Leader of the Opposition in the state Assembly Partha Chatterjee also went to Mukherjee’s residence, but were not present in the meeting.
Neither Mukherjee nor Banerjee said anything to reporters on the discussions in the meeting.
Earlier, Mukherjee had a meeting with the senior WBPCC leaders led by the WBPCC Working President Pradip Bhattacharjee. Mukherjee left for New Delhi later in the evening.
